My passion for decor and design has guided me in becoming certified in Home Staging and Redesign. Originally starting out in nursing for the past 30 years and with flexible hours, it has afforded me time for my passion, artistic painting of rooms and furniture. Designs by Debijo, my creative art business, was very successful for 11 years with artwork and furniture in the United States, England, Canada and Korea.
Expanding to renovation with area contractors, I’ve been able to design high end kitchens and baths in the DC Metro area, as well as working on a ski home in Seven Springs, PA, a corporate retreat in West Virginia, as well as homes in New York, Florida and Texas.
With my design background as well as my nursing, I have become a specialist in Aging in Place, working with “baby boomers” in renovating homes with functional, high end design. My belief is that you can have a functional space without losing the beauty and that no one should ever have to leave their home out of necessity. Currently a member and Vice President of the McLean chapter of Planning for Senior Life, I work with others in various fields to assist those ready to transition or stay in place as well their loved ones.
